Hello Comic,

It is always refreshing to hear an alternative perspective.

Could you point to all the "half-truths" in the above blog, and then perhaps Sarah could address them?

I think everyone would welcome a robust debate on the issue.

I actually thought it was pretty fair, because while ECOCERT is thought to have lower standards than the Soil Association, both organisations are working to harmonise their rules under COSMOS.

Actually, I thought ECOCERT had stronger rules about Phenoxyethanol than the Soil Association, which is now going to disallow this particular preservative - so it isn't always the case that ECOCERT always has the weaker rules.

Your article is clearly very biased because you have Soil Association and not Ecocert certification. The article is rather full of half explanations about Ecocert implying that you are somehow superior.

While I understand why you have done this (for marketing purposes) it is this sort of half truth that harms the whole industry.

I have also heard you speak before about natural claims which was also full of half truths designed to market yourself rather than explain. While it is true that any product can say it is 'natural' not any product can say it is '100% natural' as this would then be a trading standards issue if it was a false claim.
